Flipkart Grid 4.0: This Software development challenge organized by Flipkart is providing a golden opportunity to meet important challenges through technology expertise. Flipkart Grid 4.0 in the year 2022 has developed its fourth edition and getting bigger by throwing real-world challenges from the e-commerce industry to the world’s top engineers.

Hence in the past years, Flipkart allowed students from various domains to participate and win different prizes. Moreover, this will help students to get a full-time job and internship from Flipkart.

Requirements and Team Rules

The latest requirements for Flipkart Grid 4.0 is as follows:

1. Students appearing for B.tech /B.E/B.S/M.Tech/M.S. or equivalent Engineering programs (Batch 2023,2024,2025 &2026) from engineering colleges in India and the United States can participate.
2. Participants must be divided into groups of two or three.
3. Batch 2022 is not eligible to contest this challenge.
4. Students belonging to any specialization can participate.
5. Full-time students only allowed
6. One participant should belong to one team
7. If any changes to the above-mentioned rules, participants will be disqualified from the team.

The registration timeline for Flipkart Grid 4.0 is between 3rd June 2022, 07:00 PM, and 8th September.

Stages and Hackathons In GRiD 4.0

Level 1: E-Commerce & Tech Quiz

Every team will get a set of questions to answer in 30 minutes. These questions will be focused on E-commerce and Technology(Technology Awareness + Techstack &Computer science basics)

Criteria for E-Commerce & Tech Quiz round following:

• Every registered team must complete the online test
• A team should take part will all its players.
• A score according to the average score of team members will be provided.
• Every team member doesn’t have to take part in the team.
• All teams will attend the quiz simultaneously when the quiz window is opened.
• Depending upon the accuracy and speed, each participant will be ranked. Whereas, if two teams got the same score, the team who completed first will be ranked more.
• Every Participating team will move to the next level depending on their score.

Deadline is between July 1st, 2022 and 3rd July,2022, 12:30 PM IST

Problem Statement Preference Selection for GRiD 4.0

Level 1 selected teams must submit their preferences for the problem statements. Teams will be assigned problems based on their preferences and Level 1 scores. The problem statements are:

1. MetaCommerce – The Future of Shopping with Metaverse.
2. Blockchain-based eCommerce Warranty System using NFTs.
3. Extract Trends from social media data.

Level 2: Proof of Concept with Demo Video and Code submission

Level 1 teams can submit their Idea Brief and video for Idea Submission anytime before the round’s deadline during the challenge window.

Criteria for Submission of Proof of Concept with Demo Video and Code submission round are the following.

• The shortlisted team of Level 1 will move to Level 2.
• Level 1 shortlisted teams move on to Level 2 and receive problem statements based on their chosen domain.
• Each team gets a unique problem statement.
• Teams can submit their work anytime until the level’s deadline during the challenge term.
• The goal is to present a working proof of concept, along with a sample video and source code. Advancement to the next level is based on team performance in Level 2 of Grid 4.0.

The deadline starts from 13th June 2022, 07:00 PM to 1st August 2022, 06:00 AM IST

Level 3: The National Finale

The final participants will be given chance to show their solutions to flipkart panel of domain experts at the Grid 4.0 final level. The deadline for this is from 8th September 2022 to 8th September 2022, 08:00 PM.

Rewards and Prices

Win appealing prizes and get a chance to join tech internships and full-time positions through Grid 4.0.

Internship Stipend: INR 1,00,000 per month.

SDE-1 Role Compensation: INR 32.57 LPA.

Prizes

• Winners: EGVs worth INR 1,50,000.
• First Runners-up: EGVs worth INR 75,000.
• Top 50 teams in Level 1 Quiz: GRiD goodies.

Note: Prize amount for foreign competitors is subject to currency conversion rate at the time of distribution. All salaries and prizes are subject to change.
